Camilla Rae

Child Sleep Consultant and Certified Full Spectrum Doula

With over 20 years of infant care experience, it wouldn’t be an understatement to say I am passionate about birth, parenting, and all things baby. Working with expanding families during the perinatal year continues to deepen my love for this calling. I am drawn to birth by a deep seated belief that gentle and thoughtful beginnings have the power to heal. I started my higher educational career at Reed College in Portland, Oregon studying sociology with an emphasis on social justice and diversity. So it should come as no surprise that in my spare time I love nerding out to the latest research on pregnancy and keeping up to date on modern and traditional birth practices.

In February of 2018,  I welcomed my first child, Maverick, into my family. His presence has been a welcome reminder to slow down and rediscover wonder. I enjoy sewing, traveling and spending time in community.

Atika Hagen

Child Sleep Consultant and Certified Doula

As the daughter of a midwife, some of my first memories are of babies making their way into the world, and I enjoy cultivating a safe space for pregnant people and their partners as their family expands to welcome another member. I’ve always been drawn to working with people and find my best self when helping others. I’m a genuine and curious person, always wanting to support families in ways that are authentic and meaningful. In addition to being a birth doula, I’m also a postpartum doula with Bridgetown Baby and training to be a Certified Sleep Consultant. My original training is as an artist and I earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in photography and book arts at Oregon College of Art and Craft. My doula work is an extension of this orientation, combining attention to detail with an appreciation of the beauty of life in all its forms, from the mundane to the transcendent.

I am the mother of two amazing boys who do a great job of keeping me on my toes, and when I’m not working, I can be found at the climbing gym, practicing the ukulele, or adventuring with my family through the many parks and puddles in Portland.
