Baby Play: 4-6 months

:: Fun Activities ::

Things I always encourage my families to do is really get in there and play with their baby. Babies learn best when they have the opportunity to watch and observe from a friend (be that a parent or a baby who is a little further along on a milestone). So let your little one see you crawling, pushing up into a seated position, and using your hands to get up off the floor.

Some activities you can do that might be a fun way to practice body strengthening while also burning calories are:

  • Take her to the playground/backyard and put her into a bucket swing for a spin.

    • Be sure to bring a pillow to support her in the back.

  • Practice having her ride in the stroller seat.

    • Again with a pillow to support her back so she has to engage her core.

    • Or use your stroller's infant insert if you need a little more support.

  • Wear her facing in until her core is strong enough to support her facing out or she can sit up independently-- meaning that you aren't helping her to get there and she can do it herself.

    • Depending on your carrier the recommendations for when to turn baby around are slightly different.

  • Create opportunities to practice sitting up.

    • You can support her around her trunk to hold herself up or help prop her up with her arms (like a kickstand).

  • Create opportunities to practice standing.

    • Support her weight and bounce her a bit so she gets used to having weight on her feet.

  • When possible, drape her across your lap and rub her upper back with your fingertips. This is also called Lap Soothing (@2:04).

    • If you are sitting on a couch you can read a book off to the side of you (but in front of her-- since she will be perpendicular to you) or play with a toy to keep her engaged.

  • Make use of your exercise ball.

    • From the sound of our conversation it sounded like you have a big ball but if you are wanting to add in something small, I like this one.

    • Another video of how you can play with the big ball.

  • Create a Tummy Time station.

    • Your little one is just about the right age to have this work out-- especially since she can almost sit up/prop herself up. Just keep in mind that as her world perspective changes you will have to keep elevating toys to hold her attention and get good body engagement.

    • If you start to notice her getting a little overstimulated take a break and go into a quiet, dark, calm room in your house and take deep breaths, reminding her it's okay to decompress and allow oxygen to flow.

  • Doing Object Circles

    • The gist of this game is to make a circle of toys around baby that are juuuuuust out of reach. And then place baby in the middle and help direct her attention to the various toys in an alternating clockwise and counterclockwise manner (we got to keep things even). This helps her to use her hands and arms to direct her body while also engaging her core so that she is able to make the rotation bilaterally with ease.

    • Some of the toys I like for this game are:

2021 :: Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals

It’s Holiday Shopping Season!

As another year is rapidly coming to a close, we find ourselves in shopping mode for the upcoming winter holidays. It’s part of my job to guide parents to finding simple, easy, and inexpensive ways to simplify their parenting journeys that promote bonding, sleep, and wellness. So the list I’ve complied below are some of my favorite baby, maternity, and lifestyle products that I believe make it easier to be the best parent for your little ones.

Take a minute to review the list and see if some of the things on your list are deeply discounted for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Happy Shopping!

Please notice that some of these links are on Amazon, some are from the companies directly, and some are affiliate links.

Sleeping Must Haves

When it comes to sleeping like a pro we take our nursery and bedroom set up pretty seriously. As you know I am obsessed with black out curtains, white noise, and getting rid of blue lights. But what I don’t talk nearly enough about is which firm sleeping surface you might want to invest in (for independent crib sleeping, floor beds, or bed-sharing). Over the year we have tried them all and depending on what your body needs and what your end goal is I’ve narrowed it down to three options. My Green Mattress, NaturePedic, and Zenhaven by Saatva. Without going too much into detail, Andy & I sleep on a Zenhaven. When Maverick upgraded from his NaturePedic crib mattress he moved into a full bed that also has a Zenhaven. And now we are investing in My Green Mattress for our next child (arrival TBD). Yes. Each and every one of these options is pricey. But it turns out going green, non-toxic, and being gentle on the Earth comes with a steep cost. So let’s save you some money on your healthier choice (for you, baby, and the planet).

NaturePedic

For Black Friday NaturePedic is offering 20% off on all their mattresses (crib all the way up to adult) with the promo code: BlackFriday20.

My Green Mattress

From now through 11/28 you can take $225 off the Natural Escape mattress (great for adults and guest rooms), $150 off Hope, Kiwi, & Pure Echo mattresses (perfect for kids rooms), and 10% off Emily Crib mattress and accessories with the promo code: HOLIDAYS.

ZenHaven

There simply aren’t enough words to describe how much I love this mattress. I know that every person has those moments where they feel the power of "adulting” and for me it wasn’t when Andy & I got married, it wasn’t we bought our house, it wasn’t even when I became a mother. I felt like a bonafide adult when our ZenHaven mattress arrived and I laid down and actually let out an audible “aaaaaahhhhhhhh!”. After a decade of residual back pain from when I fractured my spine, 40 long weeks of pregnancy, and a tough surgical birth recovery, going to sleep in my own bed has become one of the greatest pleasures of my life. So much so, that I will often turn down overnight postpartum visits just so I can cozy up in my own bed at night to get a blissful 8-10 hours of rest. In fact, when Maverick grew out of his crib/toddler bed, it wasn’t even a question of which mattress he would get for his big boy bed (which doubles as our guest bed when we had dreams of hosting friends prior to the Pandemic). Andy sometimes goes in to put Maverick to bed and will emerge hours later because he fell asleep reading books. It am not even exaggerating about how much your life will improve by welcoming one of these babies into your home. (I am not even an affiliate for them and still rave about their epicness). So try one out today with 10% sitewide or 15% off when you buy an adult mattress (no coupon needed).

Yoga Sleep

I am a huge fan for babies to sleep with white noise machines. It helps to link sleep cycles and prevents you from tip-toeing around the house during rest times. Yoga Sleep offers multiple options for sound machines. From single to duo sound options that include travel and baby specific machines. And I always encourage families to get one of the cordless ones for traveling or on the nights where weather might take out your power. And they are offering a bundle that includes a travel on-the-go machine and a corded at-home machine. The sale ranges from 15-35% off with the promo code: CYBERWEEK. If I didn’t already have a machine in every bedroom, one at my mother-in-law’s, one at my sister-in-law’s, and 2 travel options, I would buy another 1 or 2.

Blackout EZ

If you haven’t heard me talk about my love for BlackoutEZ window coverings it’s probably because we haven’t strategized about sleep. Blackout EZ is my 1st low cost suggestion to any family struggling with sleep issues. If the room is dark enough it’s really hard for our bodies to resist the physiologically urge to fall into a deep restful slumber. They have two options now a vinyl covering that gets the job done and a more polished version that is vinyl with a cloth backing. I have both in my home and don’t notice one being significantly better. Definitely in our guest room we put up the cloth option as to have a little more suave look but we don’t mind the vinyl covering under our decorative drapes. There is no code or discount on these made-to-order custom coverings because they are so inexpensive as a starting point.

Slumber Pod

Okay, I know you are wondering why I have this one under a “Sleep Must Have”. We are still living in a Pandemic reality and travel, especially for those too young for the vaccine is a big decision. Yes. All of that and still I recommend that you make the investment today for that random overnight to the coast, that unfortunate icy Portland night that takes us out of the comfort of our homes and strands us in a hotel for a week, or that sleepover to grandma’s house because you as a parent need a little baby free time! Are any of those scenarios worth undoing that hard work you’ve put into getting your little one into a great routine? (me screaming from the mountain tops) NO! Definitely not. (But if you do end up needing support around getting back into a good rhythm… I’m here for ya). So imagine you’ve decided to book a real vacation… we aren’t taking a vacation from sleep. Just the daily grind of every day life. So do yourself a favor and buy a Slumber Pod and keep your whole family resting! Right now you can get $20 off with the promo code: FULLCIRCLESLEEP$20

Nursery & Gear

DockATot

DockATot is not safe for sleeping unsupervised. But they are an amazing place to put baby down while you take a little baby wearing break! This deal is on Amazon for 20% off.

Snuggle Me Organic

Not going to lie, this was one of the only things I regretted not buying when we had Maverick. We went to a friend’s house and I tried this bad boy out and Maverick instantly relaxed into the coziness of the lounger. As you know, loungers are not safe for unattended sleep. But if you need a nice place to plop baby down while you take a bathroom break or have a two handed lunch (think a sandwich and a mess of chips) you will be glad you have some thing like this on-board. Know that with baby #3 we will be using the lounger we bought this past Prime Day!

Pottery Barn Kids

Pottery Barn Kids has up to 60% off of nursery items, toys, and baby gear.

Ergo Carriers

Ergo carriers and products are 40% off! And they are throwing in free gifts when you bundle.

  • For the Omni 360 Air Mesh Carrier you can save 40% with the Promo Code: FRIDAY40 (11/24-11/28)

  • Free Embrace Carriers with a purchase of a soft structured carrier with the PROMO CODE: CYBER (11/29-12/3)

Solly Wrap & Loop Carrier

I adore this company. Partly because they make functional and beautiful things. Partly because they created a solution to the question about when your baby “ages out” of the close infant carry. If you like baby wearing then these two carriers will grow you you and your baby to make for beautiful hands-free bonding. They have a sitewide discount of 20% off (automatically applied, no code needed) now until 11/28 at 11:59pm PST.

Lactation Options

LegenDairy Milk

Maverick and I had an incredibly hard time getting into a groove with our lactation goals. From birth trauma and torticollis to a posterior tongue tie and slow milk flow, we saw it all and met with over 12 experts in the field. While not everyone agreed on the best plan of action, the one thing they did agree on was that taking fenugreek was negatively impacting my supply. So they all recommended LegenDairy Milk supplements to help us achieve our goals! With their help, Maverick and I made it to18 months of nursing until he decided he was done. This shopping season, do yourself a favor and buy these supplements to have on hand. They are being offered at 15-30% off (depending on your spend and the individual product itself). My two favorite are Sunflower Lecithin for easy milk flow (and helping to avoid clots and mastistis) and Milkapalooza for vitamin rich milk (and easy production because of the moringa).

Willow Pumps

Willow Breast Pumps are offering healthcare workers and other Pandemic Heroes $50 off their purchase of a hands-free travel pump. The $50 off with a valid healthcare, teacher, firstrepsonder, and military (including military spouse) id .

HaaKaa

I do not say this lightly… BUY 2! Just do it. It will make for easy and passive milk catching so that you can maximize the amazingness of your body without having to be tethered to an uncomfortable pump for hours. It is currently 15% off on TNBC and they are offering and extra 15% off sale items now until 11/29.

Toys & Developmental Milestones

Kiwi Co

Kiwi Co’s Kiwi Crates were the original subscription box service for little kids. And, it’s still one of the absolute best. Thoughtfully-designed, includes fun, educational cartoons, and mind-expanding projects that will keep your little one busy for a long time. Right now you can get 30% your first crate with the coupon code: COUPON30. You can save up to 40% sitewide with the promo code: EARLY

Maisonette

Maisonette is a company of really expensive beautifully made toys. I have to admit that we only have about 5 toys from this company because they are usually just entirely out of our price range. But if you are ready to (or have a grandparent) invest in some gorgeous toys don’t miss out on these deals. I am not an affiliate for this company but I am an admirer.

The Natural Baby Company

TNBC is my one stop shop for all of my baby and toddler needs. You can find everything from clothing to developmentally appropriate toys. They are offering 15-30% off sitewide.

Lovevery

Lovevery is a beautiful (and posh) company that offers wonderful educational toys and subscriptions for your little one(s) through the first 3 years of life. They are durable toys that follow the Montessori and RIE methodologies to help your babe reach their developmental marks.

MicroMini Scooters

My cousin Lindsey got me into these scooters when her eldest was about 18 months old— he is now in high school! I was amazed at how just after learning to walk he was scooting around. Then her next 3 children also picked up the skill and used the same scooter her first had used! I was shocked; how could a 10 year old scooter that had scooted hundreds of miles still be in epic shape?! Because of replacement parts and an awesome company backing it’s products! They are pricey but worth it and in the warehouse deals you can get up to $50 off! Maverick has one that he travels with making running through airports faster with a toddler and entertaining himself during long layovers: a perfect pre-plane energy burner.

Arts n Crafts

Everyone this year got art kits from us for birthday gifts. After a year of being home with my little rascal with tons of rainy days I found that we ran through art supplies so fast that I often was surprised by how many times we had to order more things from Target, Michaels, Jo Anns, and Amazon when we had a marker emergency. If you have aspirations of doing art with your little as they age I would highly encourage you to invest in some things now… if you only buy one thing… buy paint brushes! they are good for baking projects, all types of paint, glitter art, and sand/nature outings.

Clothing

Zutano

These booties are by far the best things to put on a baby’s feet. Not only are they cozy and warm but they DON’T FALL OFF! Right now everything is 25-40% off.

Tea Collection

I love Tea Collection because I have over the years received hand-me-downs from my old nanny family and even though the clothes went through 3 active and energetic boys they still had life in them for my crazy toddler too! Their clothes are built to last and last they do! I haven’t ever been as impressed with a children’s clothing company as I have been with Tea Collection. They are on the pricier side so buying now when they are offering styles for less than $20 is a wonderful way to begin a collection of clothing that will grow with your family.

Primary

I like Primary because the clothes are uncomplicated. It’s bright basics that hold up nicely through a season of rough play or two seasons of more gentle lounging. And Primary doesn’t break the bank. They are doing 40% off mix-and-match holiday PJs as well as other cozy styles.

HATCH Collection

The popular maternity lifestyle brand is offering 25% off everything (exclusions apply), with some sale items up to 50% off, from 11/24 through 11/29.

Kindred Bravely

This is a company that offers great clothes for a comfy pregnancy and postpartum period. I love them because they are practical and stylish. They are offering 30% off sitewide 11/25 through 11/29.

Hanna Andersson

I’m always making the plug (proud mama over here) that Maverick modeled for Hanna. They are having an epic sale of 40% off EVERYTHING! So definitely add some long lasting well made clothes to your basket.

Household Care

Branch Basics

It can be a little daunting trying to figure out how to detoxifyyour home and what products to switch to. Because we aren’t willing to compromise cleanliness for being gentle to the Earth. Branch Basics has found a way to make it easy and fun to go green and become a non-toxic household. Not only is their website popping with information but it’s also simplified for even the busiest parents. Take $10 off your first order.

Etee

We ditched regular dish soap and converted to using Etee’s soap concentrate. It smells clean- free and clear of harsh chemicals. And cleans very effectively without leaving things feeling greasy and like we live in a hippie commune. Take $10 off your first order.

Dropps

I know you know that I am obsessed with going green and non-toxic in my home. So I wanted to share Dropps with you as the laundry detergent and dishwashing pods we switched to. Right now you can say 30% sitewide with the code BF2021 now through 11/28

Caring for Littles

MASKC

I know that we are all ready to be done with masking. It’s annoying to always have to remember to pack an extra mask and with flu season in full swing it’s nice to be able to keep our germs to ourselves. I love this company because they make wearing masks fun, stylish, and easy to do with regular surgical masks as well as KN95s for both adults and kids! They are offering masks with same day shipping at 40% off with the code: BlackFriday. Stock up on cute designs and cool colors.

Earth Mama

This company doesn’t need an introduction. I know you’re already familiar with them because they are one of the widest known names in the business. They are offering 30% off everything with the promo code SPECIALDELIVERY30 (11/27-11/29) so stock up!

MadeOf is one of my go to disposable diaper brands for babies with sensitive skin. These diapers are better for the earth while still offering great protection from leaks and blow-outs. They also offer a subscription option so you won’t ever be running to the store for that last minute diaper run.

Andy Pandy

These were the diapers that traveled the world with us prior to COVID. They are also the brand that we use for pull-ups overnight for Maverick since he is daytime potty trained. They are perfect for sensitive skin and are my go-to recommendation if your little one ever gets a rash. They fit both chunky and skinny babies well. AND they ship right to your door. If you care about the environment, which obviously you do (cue that Raffi Song), they are on the better end of the disposable options. Use the code: Helloap20 for 20% off.

Gifts & Resources to Support a Pregnant Friend During The Pandemic

Being pregnant can be stressful enough for parents. But being pregnant in the middle of a global pandemic can be downright terrifying. Aside from fears about the virus itself, your pregnant family members & friends may feel isolated from the connections & services they need to feel cared for & loved.

If you have expectant parents in your circles right now, think about using these tips & resources to help them feel supported & seen during these tense uncertain times.

Consider Sending a Thoughtful Gift

The pandemic can make shopping risky for pregnant parents, show your support by sending a few thoughtful practical gifts right to their doorstep. If they have a BabyList registry be sure to ask for their link.

Send Them a Conscious Gift

Even though life as a new parent can be challenging, your loved one may very well appreciate receiving a gift that is as kind to the earth as it is to them. For more information on how to dive deeper into baby & earth friendly items check out our blog post on Scent-Free Babying.

Make Sure They are Well-Fed

Preparing & cooking meals can be stressful for new parents. Help your loved ones by having delicious food delivered safely to keep them nourished.

Make Them Feel Seen

While gifts of food and essentials are so kind and thoughtful, you really don’t have to spend any money to show a pregnant loved one you care. Sometimes just being there will do the trick.

Whether you send a thoughtful gift or simply send your love, your pregnant loved one will appreciate your kindness. With the world so chaotic and everyone so stressed, it’s those little bits of kindness that will help us all get through this together. So stay connected to the people you love and above all, be kind to yourself.

You can find more supportive posts and services for new and expectant parents by visiting Full Circle Sleep’s website.

Tried & True Baby Swag

Comment

Tried & True Baby Swag

YAY! One of my favorite topics: BABY SWAG!

We have personal experience with all of these products. It's our hope that you will love them as much as we do. We have found over the years from raising our own children and helping others raise theirs that the things on the following list are greatly loved and actually useful.

You may have already made a baby registry but if you haven't already this might be a good place to start: BabyList Registry. It's super easy to keep all things in one place and the features for thank you notes, adding and organizing, and importing other lists, and asking for money/favors is rad.

:: Diapering ::

Changing Pad Liners are CRUCIAL! For pretty much anywhere a baby will be laying down for long periods of time, for diaper changes (to cut down on serious laundry of bed sheets/changing pad covers/couches/etc), and great for on the go diapering needs.

Where you are planning on birthing at home or in the hospital investing in a set of 4 of these pads is good idea. At a home birth they can go underneath you during labor. If you will be heading to the hospital they are great for putting on car seats to protect them from any leakage. As baby grows and you need to do diaper free time or want extra protection under a high chair or as you see fit.

If you ever plan on being out and about with baby having some kind of wet/dry bag is important so if you have wardrobe issue or diaper explosion you can contain it without it getting everywhere. Having a specific baby one isn’t important and a gallon zip lock bag works just awesome too!

:: Dressing ::

You likely will have more clothes than you could ever possibly use. But if you find yourself having to change lots of diapers in the late night and the snapping and unsnapping of onesies is more hassle than it's worth I would love to direct you to Hanna Andersson. These little sleep gowns can make late night diaper changes super easy. And if you pair the gowns with baby leggings (since it will be a cooler part of the year) baby will stay warm but you'll keep diaper access. If you want to save 20% you can easily with this link.

Tea Collection is another brand that we adore. Because their clothes hold up through many washings and multiple children via hand me downs. We don't usually buy from here because the clothes are pretty pricey. Buuuut they are offering 15% off of your entire 1st purchase for signing up for their newsletter and every penny counts!

The rain gear (rainsuits, jackets, and pants) we think are top notch come from Polarn O Pyret.

We are not affiliates of this company. We just love them so much! We always recommend families put their babies to bed in organic all natural fibers if and when possible. If you feel similarly consider these Merino Wool onesies.

:: Soothing ::

If you are going to use pacifiers, then these are the only ones (Soothies) that are recommended by speech therapists and ENT doctors. They also come attached to little animals that help to keep them in mouths (Wubbanub) without you constantly having to replace them in the babe’s mouth.

:: Grooming and Sickness ::

Kind of important during the sick seasons. Keep baby’s nasal passage free and clear with softening up the mucus that can build up with a saline spray.

While some ENTs don't recommend the Nose Frida some parents swear by it. In our family we have decided that it gives use peace of mind knowing that baby's nasal passage is clearing with help from us. -- The thinking behind not using one is that the body wants to clear it on its own and we need to let it do it's thing so that we are increasing the production of mucus. But if you are planning on investing in FridaBaby products get the biggest kit you can.

Baby grooming is fun and also annoying. You will thank yourself for having a pair of baby nail clippers. There will be a pair in the big kit from FridaBaby but the way they are angled is hard to do both sides. Tweezerman has never let me down and they have a free sharpening program and an amazing guarantee.

When washing baby you can truly use anything. We would just get into the bathtub with our babies and it was great. If you are shower people you might want to get a chair like this. But a nicer version of this chair that dries out well is this one (I have also found it to be more stable).

I love to recommend soft washcloths to moms in labor to use as cold compresses so their faces don't get rubbed raw. But they also double as soft enough for bathing your tiny love.

:: Sleeping/Setting Baby Down ::

Post-baby life means tons of bodily fluids… keep your mattress clean during this juicy life transition by having a mattress cover that is waterproof. In fact, investing in two is ideal so you can always have a back up ready to go.

This is a pricey Woolino sleep sack but grows with baby, is good for all the seasons, and keeps baby safe (and you not paranoid about strangulation/suffocation) from covers. A coupon code that saves you some money is: FULLCIRCLESLEEP10. The one I recommend is the 4 Seasons Ultimate Sleeping Bags. They have the hole in the middle that makes it possible to use a harness to clip the baby into a car seat or rocker or swing.

One of other our favorite companies is the Natural Baby Company because they offer fantastic products at a lower cost. They have so many sweet toys, gear, and brands that it's kind of a one stop shop. Little Unicorn has these adorable quilted sleepers. Kyte baby has super soft sleep sacks and precious pjs that are perfect for middle of the night diaper changes.

Black out curtains make it easy to keep baby sleeping late into the bright summer mornings and during daytime naps. We have tried so many different types from the expensive custom made shades to suction cup travel shades. And we’ve found for our homes that the vinyl window coverings from Black Out EZ make for the best way to achieve complete darkness on a budget.

For swaddles we love: Aden+Anais's muslin flat swaddles and Snuggle Me's organic jersey swaddles. They come in beautiful colors and are organic!

Babies tend to really enjoy these non-habit forming noise machines to help to drown out busy life outside of your apartment.

Baby Bjorn Bouncers are CRUCIAL! I don’t know where I would be without ours. They are a safe good place to set baby. The littles can sleep in them and also be close to you during alert times while leaving you hands free. You can find these used and very cheap. DO NOT buy a new one! They are everywhere if you care to look.

The Tiny Love is a great place to put baby’s down to sleep and a good place to place them when they are awake and chilling. This is the safer version of the Rock n Play that was recalled.

The Moses Baskets we chatted about are made by Plum + Sparrow. They restock every Friday morning. So if there is a color preference that you really like but it's sold out every Friday you have a new chance to get the one you desire. You have to buy the pad and sheet separately. But they are add-ons and the site reminds you. As sleep consultants we have to encourage you to not buy the "nested" pad but just to stick to the flat pad.

Another great alternative is the Charlie Crane lounger/bouncer. It's a mix between the Baby Bjorn Bouncer and the Tiny Love.

Yes, this is pricey as heck and I might try this out at the store with baby before buying the Nuna Leaf Grow. Some babies like the motion of a swing back and forth. Some like swinging side to side. Some like to rock. Some like to bounce. This is great because it grows with your baby. And it locks into place. Maverick hated going side to side and still prefers bouncing and swinging (back and forth). His cousin hates bouncing and only likes swinging side to side.

:: Feeding ::

Dr Brown Bottles are the only ones I ever recommend. They are made for babies that have colic, gas issues, or GI problems. And because of that they help all babies even if they don’t have the feeding issues. The glass bottles are better to have since you don’t have to worry about what’s in the plastic but they are cost prohibitive and limited. And you will thank yourself if you get these travel lids for the wide mouth bottles if you go with the Dr Browns bottling system.

For upset tummies or gassy babies a little gripe water can make a HUGE difference.

Burp cloths that double as super absorbent helps when in need! Another brand we love is Aden+Anais. Having at least four on hand per day.

The OXO bottle brush is the best one out there for cleaning. The soft brush head is gentle enough for fancy wine glasses and strong enough to get the oily breast milk residue clean too. And this set is great for all the tiny crevices and things.

:: Awesome to Have ::

Babies are obsessed with this paper.

Baby k’tan is good for babies 8-20 lbs. This is the easy version of the Boba Wrap/Moby Wrap. The Boba and the Moby are very similar. Some people prefer one over the other. We like the Moby, but read about each and maybe a color or organic option will be the deciding factor.

If you are going to be asking for things you might as well as for this Love Every Baby play gym and subscription. It's a super nice give that keeps on giving and parent's friends love to give these types of useful gives that make for good pictures and constant reminders of how much you and this baby are loved. These are also fun for parents to have because it follows baby's natural development and gives you a new idea and activity to practice with baby and helps to give you as new parents a frame of reference for helping baby make milestones.

These booties are the best booties on the market and NEVER fall off! And they make sweet little mittens that match.

Need to drive to get places? Having a mirror can keep you and the baby sane during the long and short trips.

If you plan on bringing baby out to a place with lots of people ever these are nice to have to protect baby’s ears.

Thinking ahead to baby being mobile you might want to get these too. They are socket protectors that are intuitive and not aggravating for parents to use. And unlike those little plastic caps they had when we were little these aren't choking hazards.

Hope this helps you curate a super great list!

Scent Free Babying

Have you ever noticed that baby products all kind of have this powdery, sweet, clean linen smell? That we all probably have nostalgic memories of the smell of Johnson & Johnson’s tear-free baby shampoo? What if I were to tell you that those scents and fragrances were actually neurotoxins causing brain damage and sensory impairment? Doesn’t that sound scary and maybe something you’d like to avoid putting onto your brand new baby?
